Shipboard divisions
Every crew member serves in a division, usually within a specialized subdivision. Division chiefs answer to the captain; crew answer to supervisors within their own division.
Captain, First Officer & Chief Communications Officer
Mission command and the ship's voice. Leadership owns decisions and accountability; Communications handles hails, diplomacy, and signal traffic.
Chief Tactical Officer
The ship's sword and shield. Weapons Control runs torpedoes, phasers, and cannons; Security protects the crew and manages shield defense.
Chief Engineer
Keeps the ship alive. Reactor output, power routing, transporter operations, and the endless maintenance that stands between the crew and vacuum.
Helmsman
Everything that moves. Helm flies the ship, Navigation plots the course, and Fighters take smallcraft where the ship can't go.
Chief Science Officer & Chief Medical Officer
Understanding what's out there — and keeping the crew healthy while you do it. Medical serves under Science with its own chief.
